Keith Chapple has been serving the people of Lewes for the last 29 years, and prides himself on providing professional eyecare at affordable prices.  He studied at the Cardiff University, and moved to Brighton shortly before marrying Susan, who joined him in the practice as the podiatrist.  He loves seeing children, parents and grandparents;  one of his great joys is seeing the children of parents whom he saw as children themselves!  Unlike almost all opticians nowadays, he does not rush through half-hour tests, but gives everyone full 60-minute appointments.

Susan Chapple B.Sc (Hons)., B.Sc. (Hons) Pod., MChS, SRCh., is a CHIROPODIST/PODIATRIST registered with the HEALTH PROFESSIONS COUNCIL. FEET in FOCUS was established at the beginning of 2002 and is proving to be a very popular chiropody service.
As well as offering routine chiropody care for nails, corns, hard skin, and verrucae, other podiatry services are available that may be less familiar to you. For example, a biomechanical assessment may be able to find contributory reasons for lower back pain, hip, knee and foot pain. Modern Cryotherapy (freezing) treatment offers an effective way of treating verrucae with little discomfort. Susan offers Ultrasound Treatment for pain relief and to aid healing of inflammatory conditions of the feet such as Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles Tendonitis. FEET in FOCUS also offers a wide variety of high quality, effective footcare products such as creams, sprays, protective gel products, and insoles. We are always happy to give advice on suitable products for you.

Denise Driver MAR IPTI is our qualified REFLEXOLOGIST offering reflexology treatments.  Reflexology can be used to help regain and maintain the natural equilibrium found within the body. It is suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Denise offers frequent “taster days” during which you can experience 20 minutes of reflexology, and ask questions, for a nominal fee of £7, to see how treatments could help you. These days are advertised in store and in the local press – look out for them – you may be surprised at how reflexology can help you. Denise is with us on Thursdays and Saturday mornings, by appointment. Appointments last up to one and a half hours and cost £25.

SCRIVENS HEARING offer a Hearing Aid AUDIOLOGY service by appointment. Hearing checks are free – just call in or phone for an appointment – it takes only about 20 minutes of your time but could result in a great improvement in your quality of life. Scrivens is a well respected national company offering the latest hearing aids, tailored directly to your particular needs, using state of the art equipment to assess you. Our Hearing Aid Audiologist David Ashdown RHAD MSHAA, periodically arranges Hearing Awareness Days which are free, fun and educational. Look out for special offers on Hearing Aids, available periodically in store throughout the year.

We are happy to be able to offer the services of Jonathan D. Cove D.O., M.R.O.(J) (Hon), D.Nat., principal of THE CARLTON OSTEOPATHIC CLINIC. Jonathan is a Registered OSTEOPATH and NATUROPATH of great skill and experience who originally established his practice in 1985. Jonathan is consultant to a Premier Division Football Club, and has vast experience in treating sports injuries such as those experienced by rugby players, ballet dancers, golfers, American footballers, judo players playing in the highest levels of their sport. He also specialises in cranial and children's treatments.
Examples of problems Jonathan can treat are back and neck pain, frozen shoulders, headaches and migraines, rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-arthritis, sciatica, tennis/golfer's elbow, stiffness/loss of mobility, knee cartilages, soft tissue injuries, and the whole range of painful mechanical problems around the body. All major medical insurances are accepted by The Carlton Clinic. Jonathan is available Friday mornings.
